Berkshire Festival of Women in the Arts

A number of cultural organizations throughout the county are organizing special exhibitions and events that focus on women in the arts during the month of March, Women’s History Month.


Berkshire Art Kitchen is proud to announce the following festival offerings:

March 5th SOUL-STIRRING WOMEN IN MUSIC

Thursday Potluck 6pm, Film 7:30pm @ Berkshire Art Kitchen

An intimate house concert featuring some of Berkshire County’s best talent and surprising newbies. See separate listing for more details.

$25/ticket. Space is limited.  Advance ticket purchase strongly encouraged.

March 6RADICAL DETOUR

Opening Reception and Poetry Reading by Karen Chase, Friday March 6th, 6-8pm

An exhibition of internationally recognized women artist activists, curated by Gabrielle Senza for the Storefront Artist Project in Pittsfield, MA. Exhibition runs through March.

Free.


March 8th CIRCLE OF COURAGE

Sunday Tea hosted by Amber Chand & Gabrielle Senza 2-5pm @ Berkshire Art Kitchen
Celebrating International Women’s Day and honoring women of courage in our lives.

$7 suggested donation. Space is limited.  Reservations strongly encouraged.


March 12 UNTIL THE VIOLENCE STOPS

Thursday Potluck 6pm, Film 7:30pm @ Berkshire Art Kitchen

A benefit screening and discussion of Until The Violence Stops, Abby Epstein’s documentary on Eve Ensler’s work to stop violence against women and girls around the globe.

$14/ticket. Space is limited.  Advance ticket purchase strongly encouraged.

March 26 BERKSHIRE WOMEN IN FILM

Thursday Potluck 6pm, Film 7:30pm @ Berkshire Art Kitchen
Berkshire Women in Film will feature short films with actor Jayne Atkinson and filmmaker Meryl Joseph. See separate listing for more details on the films. (Coming soon.)
